Mel Hector, MD, CMD, FAAFP

Dr. Hector brings a wide breadth of experience to the TLC practice. He obtained his medical
degree from the University of Missouri, is a Certified Medical Director, and is a past
Clinical and Research Fellow in Geriatrics at Johns Hopkins Health Systems. He was also
an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Missouri. He is board certified
in family practice and earned a Certificate of Added Qualification in Geriatric Medicine.
Dr. Hector’s past work experience includes private practice, founding/leadership roles in
medical groups/independent practice associations, and is a past Chief of Staff of Northwest
Medical Center. Dr. Hector has been named twice in Naifel and Smith’s “The Best Doctors in
America”. He maintains memberships in numerous associations and academies.
