Scott Bolhack

Scott Bolhack, MD, MBA, CMD, CWS, FACP, FAAP, has been providing clinical care in Tucson since 1992. He is board certified in internal medicine, hospice and palliative care, and pediatrics. Dr. Bolhack has two additional certifications. He is a certified medical director (CMD) in long-term care and is a certified wound specialist (CWS). He is the Medical Director of The Wound Care Center at Northwest Hospital located at 6130 North La Cholla Boulevard, Suite 111, Tucson, AZ 85741.

Dr. Bolhack is President and CEO of TLC HealthCare™ Companies which includes TLC HealthCare™ Medical Group Inc., TLC HealthCare™ Consulting, TLC HealthCare™ Wound Specialists and TLC HealthCare™ Quality Improvement Organization, Inc. He is a clinical assistant professor with the Department of Medicine at the University of Arizona. In 2003, TLC HealthCare™ Companies (formerly Tucson Long Term Care Medical Group, Inc.) was awarded the winner in the Business Growth Category 1-19 employees at the 6th Annual Wells Fargo Copper Cactus Awards. In 2003, Dr. Bolhack was also awarded the Howard Guterman Award for best poster presentation at the American Medical Director’s Association national meeting.

Dr. Bolhack speaks nationally to clinicians on the subject of rehabilitation in nursing homes, wound care and palliative care. He was honored to speak at the September 2009 DRI conference lecture to defense attorneys on the subject of nutritional care in nursing homes (September 10, 2009 “Hungry for More? Understanding Nutritional Issues and Lab Values” DRI’s Nursing Home / ALF Litigation Seminar, Scottsdale, Arizona).

Dr. Bolhack has additional experience as a medical director for nursing homes, assisted living facilities, hospices, and home health agencies. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians, American College of Pediatrics and a member of numerous professional societies, including the American Medical Directors Association, American College of Physician Executives, and The Wound Healing Society.
He has presented over 25 scientific posters in the areas of quality improvement, wounds, and subacute care in skilled nursing facilities.
