Shirley Grant

Shirley has many years of nursing experience in a variety of health care settings.

She joined the TLC HealthCare™ Companies team in 2002 and has been actively involved in developing tools to enhance the quality assurance and quality improvement programs and processes in long-term care settings.

In the past, Shirley worked closely with the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI)/Minimum Data Set (MDS) process and served as an assistant director of nursing in a long-term care facility. Due to her special interest in the RAI/MDS process and how it relates to Quality Indicators, Quality Measure and most importantly, to the quality of care received by residents led her to obtain “Resident Assessment Coordinator” Certification through the American Association of Nurse Assessment Coordinators in February of 2008. By sharing this knowledge with others, we can enhance both the understanding and the usefulness of the Quality indicators “snapshot in time”.
